There Were Giants began as investigation into Biblical conspiracy theories, ancient myths, and a love for monster films.
But ideas are cheap — And I wanted to make feature films. So, with the help of a few friends, and a few credit cards, we shot a proof-of-concept trailer.
That gamble paid off. Turns out, Nephilim fans aren’t just out there—they’re everywhere. And when the world hit pause in 2020, I hit the keyboard. Every day.
The result was two feature screenplays and a pilot script. — And I’m not done yet.
FYI - Back in 2021, I ran an equity-crowdfunding round and raised $87k to film The Door, the first There Were Giants film. But, knowing we needed more and that I wanted to level up my filmmaking skills, I decided to return those funds and teamed up with one of the original investors to make my first feature (Lesions). You’ll see investment invites at the end of a few videos - for a campaign that no longer exists:)
